YAMAHA ENTERTAINMENT GROUP PROVIDES GEAR FOR THE 2015 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS

NASHVILLE, Tenn. November 23, 2015 – Yamaha Entertainment Group of America is proud to announce multiple Yamaha instruments were used throughout the 2015 American Music Awards (AMA). The award show was aired live from Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater on ABC Sunday evening.

Ariana Grande gave an electric performance of “Focus” with two Yamaha artists- keyboardist Troy Laureta joined the pop star on stage with a white Yamaha DC3A and Justin Kulnk backed Grande up with a Yamaha Baritone Saxophone.

Carrie Underwood hit the stage to sing “Heartbeat,” a song from her new album Storyteller with the help of a Yamaha C2S PE.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis debuted a new song about prescription drug addiction titled “Kevin” alongside a Yamaha C3SG PE. R&B artist Leon Bridges sang together with Macklemore during the AMA performance.  

After an introduction by actor Harrison Ford, a cappella group Pentatonix paid tribute to the upcoming Star Wars movie by performing its legendary theme song backed by a full orchestra, which included a Yamaha C3XSH.

Charlie Puth joined Meghan Trainor on stage to sing their hit song, “Marvin Gaye.” Puth played a Yamaha MPC6 while duo sang together, ending their performance with a kiss.

Celine Dion honored those who were lost in the recent terrorist attacks in Paris by performing Édith Piaf's "Hymne à l'amour." As she emotionally sang the French ballad accompanied by a Yamaha Grand Piano, a series of heartfelt images of Paris were displayed.
