Singer/Songwriter and 2011 Juno Award Winner, Greg Sczebel, (pronounced “sa-bell”) brings an innovative blend of pop, rock, r&b and old school soul to the Canadian musical landscape.
His live shows take listeners on an audible journey, from the bombastic beat of the New Orleans-flavoured jam, “Causin’ A Commotion,” to the feel good, vaguely disco single, “I’ve Got That Feelin”. Sczebel’s electric stage presence, emotive songwriting and warm personality have been known to turn a room full of strangers into a room of friends and fans.
Recently named one of the top 4 artists in British Columbia in the PEAK Performance Project (alongside Sweatshop Union’s Kyprios, Said the Whale and Vince Vacarro), Greg has garnered numerous national awards, including two Junos, a Western Canadian Music Award and grand total of 8 2011 BC Interior Music Awards. He is also a 2-time grand prizewinner in the international John Lennon Songwriting Contest, and most recently was named a winner in Billboard’s WorldWide Song Contest, for Best Pop song (“Causin’ A Commotion”). When he’s not performing on his own stage, you’ll also find him as a regular keyboardist and vocalist for multi-platinum selling Country artist, Paul Brandt.
