YAMAHA ENTERTAINMENT GROUP PROVIDES GEAR FOR BROADWAY AT THE WHITE HOUSE
NASHVILLE, Tenn. November 30, 2015 – Yamaha Entertainment Group of America is proud to announce a Yamaha S6 and Yamaha GC1M were used in the television special, Broadway at the White House.
40 high school students from across the United States received the opportunity of a lifetime- an invitation to attend an all day musical theater symposium at the White House. The workshop was hosted by Broadway veterans Matthew Morrison and Kristin Chenoweth and included appearances by Andrew Lloyd Weber, Whoopi Goldberg, Gloria Estefan, Christian Borle, Cicely Tyson and Laura Michelle Kelly. Students witnessed intimate performances by the Broadway casts of Finding Neverland, Fun Home, An American in Paris, On Your Feet!, School of Rock and Something Rotten in the East Room of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. First Lady Michelle Obama even joined in on the Broadway fun making a special appearance.
Legendary composer, Stephen Schwartz, used a Yamaha GC1M for his master class that was held in the First Family’s private theater room. A Yamaha S6 was used for the main performances in the East Room.
