YAMAHA ARTIST NATHAN EAST PERFORMS AT THE WHITE HOUSE
NASHVILLE, Tenn. January 11, 2016 – Yamaha Entertainment Group is proud to announce Yamaha artist and master bassist Nathan East performed at the White House for the PBS special: “A Celebration of American Creativity.”
President and Mrs. Obama hosted an evening of musical performances in the East Room to celebrate the importance of art, literature and music in American culture. In addition, “A Celebration of American Creativity” honored the National Foundation on the Arts and the Humanities Act’s 50th anniversary. The special, which aired on January 8, is part of the PBS broadcast series, “In Performance at the White House.”
The tribute included performances by Buddy Guy, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, Audra McDonald, Keb’ Mo’, Smokey Robinson, Trombone Shorty, Esperanza Spalding, Brian Stokes Mitchell, James Taylor and Usher, with accompaniment from Nathan East and special readings from Carol Burnett.
